Tympin’ ain’t easy: Pediatric Immittance Test Battery
Dawn Violetto Au.D & Lindsay Bondurant Ph.D

As a result, audiologists are seeing a greater number of very young infants than ever before, and it is essential that providers in a variety of settings be familiar with basic pediatric protocols so that appropriate referrals can be made when indicated. An integral part of the diagnostic test battery should be a comprehensive immittance battery, which is helpful in identifying middle ear disorders that may contribute to hearing loss.
